Against Nuclear as Renewable Energy

Renewable energy is energy that comes from resources which are continually replenished such as sunlightwindraintideswaves and geothermal heat.

One of the biggest arguments against including nuclear energy in the list of renewable energy sources is the fact that uranium deposit on earth is finite, unlike solar and wind. To be counted as renewable, the energy source (fuel) should be sustainable for an indefinite period of time, according to the definition of renewable energy.

Another major argument is the harmful nuclear waste from nuclear power reactors. The nuclear waste is considered as a radioactive pollutant that goes against the notion of a renewable energy source.
